Update January 2025

An interesting month for writing. It’d be a lot more interesting without American politics and “celebrity” insanity. It’s too easy to forget these guys are just parked on screens because of their money, not their usefulness.

Op-Ed: Federal workers buyout — Utterly clueless, incredibly expensive, and much worse This is truly inept. It’ll be a huge level of instant dysfunction.

Op-Ed: The price of AI unrealism — $1 trillion disappears on US markets as China’s DeepSeek drops in China is reading the market very well. Guaranteed to hit Wall Street and the AI mythos of America.

Op-Ed: Social media vs the ultra-dumb uninhabitable 21st century. Options? Hard to believe anything could make this overpriced century worse, but there it is.

Op-Ed: Stargate — $500 billion for what, exactly? So far, skepticism and a catfight. Lots of money, lots of talk, no substance.

Op-Ed: Trump. Ukraine, Mexican border, and superficiality Self-explanatory.

Op-Ed: How many US employers pay for health insurance that never delivers? They pay billions. What’s coming back?

Op-Ed: Trump $TRUMP crypto tanks at $75, down to $41, up to $45 and so on Instant fiasco. What a surprise.

Op-Ed: What’s the very stupid big loss if TikTok goes? — All that market reach and lots of big money This is about market share, not politics.

Op-Ed: ‘Amexit’ — America’s departure from itself and sanity.  Self-explanatory.

Op-Ed: Sabotaging the future of the world with cost insanity. The next two generations are in serious trouble.

Op-Ed: Social media — Full of itself, failing to deliver in too many ways Self-explanatory.

Op-Ed: Pricing the madness — Deportations, annexations, wars with allies, etc. Meh.

Op-Ed: LA fires — Where is the US government? Who’s doing what, and when? This really was disgraceful.

Op-Ed: The future of work — A shower cap full of electrodes on your head? Yep, dumbness and lousy aesthetics all over.

Op-Ed: Collapsing health systems vs major flu outbreaks in US, UK and Europe What’s new? The scale of failure.

2025 Predictions — The US exits from the world, and the rich are not included

Op-Ed: When did the words ‘What we know’ become newsworthy? They’re not. The alternative is “what we don’t know”.

Op-Ed: US Politics vs reality — Guess who’s winning. You’re not. Self-explanatory.
